Hi, I bought a tti manifold back system for my 68 barracuda. I waited over 6 months to install. I do not have any instructions and i am having trouble with where the muffler bracket mounts. I cant find any download on there website for install instructions. I called but we are having a problem hearing over phone and I was sent e body photos. I just need to know if those silly brackets mount to seatbelt location or the stock location. Thanks

Had the same issue on my Dart. I got the passenger side to fit the factory location okay, but the drivers side had to hang off of the seatbelt bolt location coming through the floor. Called TTI and of course the tech guy said he never heard of this before and that there has to be something wrong with my car. WTF! If they were smart enough to look at the factory setup, it would be easy to see that the drivers side is to the left more so than the passenger side is to the right. The engine is offset. They equally bend both front pipes the same and when you get to the rear of the car, you're no where close to the factory hanger. I had to make it work that way on my setup.

I have the TTI step headers, 3" X-pipe and DynoMax Ultraflo mufflers ending just before the rear end housing. I installed those big hangers off of the seatbelt mounts. They clamp onto the exit end of the mufflers. I don't have rear seatbelts in the race car, but I used extra-long bolts from the inside, have a very tight jam-nut underneath, and end up with a "stud" on each side to hang the brackets off of.

I found this: [ame]http://www.ttiexhaust.com/PDF/XA_MW6769-CUE.pdf[/ame]

There may be a slight difference between bolt locations in early & later A-bodies because I had to bend my brackets a little for a better fit. It should be possible to retain the seatbelts, if needed doing it this way as well.

I'd take pics but it's been raining here.

Yes thats true. Looking at the original reprodution tubing you see that difference. I do see they recomend starting from rear moving forward. Just wish it was less universal at the hangers.

When I did my 2.5 h pipe kit the hangers did not line up with the seat belts or the factory dual exhuast hanger brackets. I hung all the pipes under the car and lined everthing up nice and drilled holes throught the floor where the hangers naturally wanted to be.

Thanks for replies. Its nice to to know there all a little different. Now I wont cuss so much on my back.

I know when we did the TTI 3 inch on the valiant used the seat belt bolts that came in the kit. The holes closest to the tunnel. If I remember correctly the brackets are left and right offset in center out mufflers. Took less than 2 hours to complete.
