Ok I saw a Duster with 275x60x15 today and the tires were to big.They rubbed the outer quarter and the spring.I do not know the width of the rim he was running.
If I order Cragars 15x7x41/8 back spacing can I fit a 275x60x15 under my 71 Duster without any rubbing issues,even when the trunk is full.I had a Dart sport years back and I think I ran a 15x8x255or265.

I have 275-60-15 on my 73 Duster an 15x7 wheels with 4 1/4 backspace and 1/4 inch spacer so tire dont rub on front spring clamp

First pic is with 75 psi in the air shocks
Second pic is with all air out of the air shocks
Third is a close up shot of the rear with 75lbs

No rubbing at all with 75psi or 0psi

Here you can see old photo of my 71 Duster.
Car has relocated springs and moved axle, not mini tubed.
Rims are Weld Draglites 15x9 with 4,5" backspacing.

Tires in the picture are 275/60 15s... no rubbing at all.
Size of tire on the wheels is more less:
TD: 28"
SW: 11"
TW: 9"

I replaced these with MH Racemasters that also are 275/60 15s but are a bit bigger and they measure:
TD 28,5"
SW: 12"
TW: 10"
Again no problems at all, just these tires don't last too long ;)

Now I'm tempted to go with MT 29x12,5-15 or Hoosier 295/60 15s.
Hoosiers seems to be a safer choice as there is only has 0,5" more section width and around 0,5" bigger diameter. Will be tight fit, should get in but this is about it without cutting.

I have 15 X 8 ralleys with 4-1/4 backspace, and a 275-60 15 tire on my duster, with plenty of room

they fit great on my duster 15 x 8 4 1/4 backing space small bolt axles

I have 15x 8 Cragar wheels with a 4.5" BS with a Mcreary L-60x15 and they fit and dont rub. 71 duster.
 
OK so I finally put the 295 60 15 Hoosiers on my Duster.
SS springs in the rear.

I had gentle rub on the sides of both tires under the car with 30 psi. Will put 7mm spacers and see if it helps. Also need to go down with pressure to 16-18 psi.

I'm sure these will be fine, but it is a tight fit.
