Old guy-new here

Hello to everyone - I registered on May 7 and just noticed last night that people normally introduce themselves up front. Oh well, nothing unusual for me to do something bass-ackwards.
About me: I have a degee in Mech. Engr. and my career was with Bellsouth Communications in Facilities based computers. I was with Headquarters Staff in Atlanta for almost 20 years. Loved it! This month I will be 60 yrs young! I moved back to Tennessee in 2003.
In 1970 (jr. in high school) my father helped me to buy a 1967 Barracuda coupe. It was blue, black int.,buckets, 273/4bbl, Auto trans, Chrome reverse wheels and G60 tires. Man, I thought I had arrived!I kept the car 2-3 yrs, seems longer, and hit a big tree head-on. OOps. I partially put the car back together but it never was the same.
In 1973, I bought a 1970 340 'Cuda. I had arrived! The car was dark green, black int., auto trans., limited slip, rally sport wheels, rally rocker panels, and trunk-mount luggage rack. Beautiful car! I sold it in 76 for $1600 because of energy crisis and gasoline costs (0.56 /gallon).
Then came a long procession of MG ownerships. Five to be exact. The first and main one was a 68 conv. Fun, fun cars! Next, was a 72 BMW Bavaria, blue, buckets, 4spd. Fast! Then came an 84 Buick Regal. My one and only new car. It was stolen and I got a 91 Firebird with 3450 miles on it. Still got it.
In the meantime, I bought a 1970 L-46 Corvette coupe. It is Laguna Gray, 350/350, 4spd., All power, air, and trunk-mount luggage rack. Still got it. There were a myriad ofcars and trucks In between these cars. These were just the most notable.
I just purchased a 68 Barracuda coupe. Maroon, white bench seat w/armrest, Blown-up 318, 4 whl 10" drum brakes, auto trans., 14" steel wheels w/ wire hubcaps. The 318 is removed, am waiting to pick up 5.2L Magnum from a 2001 Ram 1500 pickup. I also plan to upgrade front brakes to discs and 4.5" bolt pattern, rear wheels to 4.5" bolt pattern. Bench seat is gone, replaced by gray cloth buckets, soon to be dyed to burgundy. The body is straight with a little rust in unusual places. All rust thru spots are up high on the body: roof and trunk lid drain channels.
I've bored you enough for now. Thanks for all information, tips and advice ahead of time.

Jim
