hey new to site and I have a 73 gold duster that Im trying to learn more about. It's a six cylinder car with 39,000 original miles and no rust, a grandma car. It being a gold duster and blue with a white vinyl top is what I don't understand and also a floor shifter car too. can anyone help me out with this?
 
The "Gold Duster" was just a sticker and option package has nothin to do with actual car collor itself
Do you have any pics of it?
Is it a factory floor shift auto with a console or 4 speed overdrive?
It could have the option of comumn shift auto or manual transmission or could be floor shift manual overdrive 4 speed or auto floor shift with a console.
What else do you need to know?
 
factory floor shift 3 speed manual. Seems to be a pretty basic model. I can take a few pics and post them, won't be a problem

I'd like to do someting with the car but I don't won't to change it if it's better to keep everything the closest to original except for paint which is time to do but no surface rust to worry with
 
Change as much as you want it will always be a low option /6 3 spd Duster and not worth much in stock form. But if you are goin for reliablility and durability you cant beat a slanty
So I would say have at it and customize it how you want and have fun with it
