Kwik-Lift is back!

-
Cool I've been wanting one. I was thinking the old Kwik lift came in 2 sizes. One for heavier vehicles like trucks. Time to start saving my pennies.

Anybody that is wanting one it is a great investment
Much better than the ld jack and jack stands
Only problem is is you better have a car that runs or has no motor i it if you want to put it on it
But I love it and glad they are back because I have been wanting to get bridge piece so I can have all 4 tires off the car on it

I paid around $1600.00 in 2006 w/shipping. It is one of the best things i ever bought auto related. No more laying on dirty concrete to work under my car, work on brakes at a comfortable height. It would have been nice to have one 20 years ago.

From the website....

How long is Kwik-lift?
Answer: Kwik-lift is adjustable. There are 3 length settings: 13' 3"/ 14' 0"/ 14' 9". The longest individual piece is 8 ft. 4 inches long. The width is also adjustable.

It would make a good economy alignment rack.

Click on the price tab on the left side of their main page. Around $1300.

Kinda looks like the csar would be at the end of your arm's reach. How do you work on brakes since the car sets on the wheels?

from the FAQ

Is there a way to remove my wheels and tires after the car is on the lift?
Answer: Yes ! Our new optional "Centerlift" is a bridge across the ramps that allows you to place a bottle jack or other type jack, and one or two small stands to support the axle, a - arms, or frame rails. The Centerlift may be used at the front or rear of Kwik-lift (do not position the centerlift rearward of the rear legs or in the middle area of the ramps ) Centerlift is not designed to be used as a transmission jack.

i just had mine arrive friday 7/5/13, it cost $1,407 shipped and included the option bar to remove tires while its on lift. powder coated black, red is available now. i talked to danny and he was great to deal with. i think he said these will go up in price soon and the bar for removing tires will be an extra cost. when i get some time i'll take some pics with duster on it.

I wanted a lift but bought an open race car trailer for which I can work under the vehicle from the ground and if by chance I need to tow my car, it's perfectly secured :)

This is what I did many years ago. Worked out well for me. Had to get creative if I wanted the car off the tires but it was nothing an I beam did not take care of....

The car trailer is an interesting idea. Kinda kills two birds with one stone.

holy crap, for $2K I could buy a used 2 post normal hoist, for $2700 I could buy a brand new one

There is a shop in Spokane that sells used lifts. Always has a supply of them. Last I was in there he had 12k 2 post that he wanted 2k or so for....that was set up & delivered....
