My girlfriend had just gotten her license, and she wanted a 'performance car'.

I had let her drive my 1970 Dart Swinger 340 a few times, and she proceeded to get on it one day,
and drive it into a swamp between several trees.

So I figured I get her something with a little less power.

Bingo, one day my father is driving through some back road in Putnam Valley, New York {a very rural town}
and he see's a 'white' 1966 Barracuda with Ansen Mag Wheels sitting in a driveway with no plates on the car.....

Of course, once hearing about this, I made a 'Bee Line' straight to the house.

Yep, it was a 1966 Barracuda, with a 273 Commando 'Formula S', Automatic with a real 8 3/4" Rear-End unit.

The car was an outright 'Cream-Puff' with red interior.

The girl who had possession of the car was selling it for her brother who was back in Jacksonville, Florida -
and he didn't want to come back to New York to get it. So they decided to sell it.

They were asking only $550, and I made an offer of $500, which they accepted. I gave them a deposit of $100,
and left to bring my girlfriend back to see the car the next day.

Me thinking my girlfriend would be excited,,,,,,,,'wrong',,,,,,,,

As we pulled in the driveway she said to me with hate and anger.........
"I'm not driving that F***ing Car."

I knocked on the door of the house with my tail between my legs and asked for the $100 back...........
and had to explain that my girlfriend was a..... '*****'.....and that she didn't want the car.

I was too embarrassed to go back and buy it for myself.......
