All PM's replied to. Turn around is the weekend after I receive them.

Please note I will be taking July off from doing hinges.

Hey Ross;

This is the passenger hinge off my 68 Barracuda. It is cracked and I want to know if I'm better off buying the core off you instead of shipping it to you.

That is a common area for them to be cracked and I usually clean them up with a v cut and reweld them. That area has to be welded anyway to adjust the dtent. It looks like that one is savable.

Please Read:

I need to update my add, but due to rising material costs and demand I am now charging $200 + $15 shipping a set. I am also doing them once a month on a weekend (usually the last weekend of the month)

I will still be offering the core exchange program ($75 fully refundable within 3 months) but we need to talk to make sure I have cores in stock for your vehicle.

For the B body people I now offer '71-'74 hinges kinda. The '75+ ones are a direct bolt on and a superior design, but you will need to provide cores as people have bought all mine and not returned the cores.

These are superior hinges folks, I take them all the way apart and fix everything including the detent and redo the uppers, both things that other hinge re-builders don't do. These also come back painted in gray dp50 epoxy primer so they won't rust and can be quickly scuffed and painted body color.

Also for an additional $5 I will include two strips of 3m strip calk that goes around the bolt holes and seals them better then the factory sealer.

Thanks -Ross-

Yep for the amount of time I have into each set and the material cost I wasn't making anything. (I am still not making much per set) I make more doing other side work for people (like brake jobs or small body jobs ect..) but I would like to continue to offer the hinges to my mopar friends and family.

Since the hinge is sprung a bit do you bring the hinge back in to where it should be before you weld it ?

how do you install a new spring? Mine broke and I wanted to replace it with a new one. Can it be done without removing the hinge from the car?
Thank you.

Ross,
I'm in need of a full set of hinges for my 70 Dart Swinger. I hope you have a set for exchange but I can send mine in for repair as well. Let me know.

Thanks
Sean

I have a 66 Dart 2 door, I have the hinges off. It sounds like you don't do those hinges anymore? You mentioned the later A bodys are different, but will work. Do I need to go find a set of later hinges or send you mine off the 66?

Thanks,

Allen

Would you be willing to give me a part number for the bushing you use on E bodies? I am fully capable of doing them myself just don't have the 200 to send to you....

Sorry everyone I have been way too busy recently to do any hinges (or play with cars much recently). I am starting my own brewery and all my spare time has been occupied by that.

As for the bushing question the top bushings are correct that come in the help packages but do not use them on the lowers

Thanks for all the hinges, just want to let everyone know I am no longer rebuilding them as I have opened a brewery and no longer have time.

Thanks again -Ross
