I have the Crane gold 1.5 in my 408. Noisy? Not really. A different sound for sure, but I suspect it's more the combination of hydraulic roller lifters and roller rockers. My car runs beautifully with them.
I would have to agree. My crane golds were quieter than my buddies 408 with Hughes rockers. My motor had a hydrolic cam and his is a solid. I think the valve train noise depends on your combo and what your lash/preload is set at. Not so sure one is any better than the other as much as personal preference. I think they are both good quality
