I have Hughes 1.6 on my 408 with a solid cam. Geometry was spot on and after 700 miles the valve lash is still spot on.
A hydraulic cam will be much quieter than a solid regardless of the rockers.[/QUOTE That is why I said afterwards that it depends on your combo and lash/preload. Set rite Comps are just as quiet as Hughes.
Keep in mind COMP only sells them in 1.5 Ratio, unless something has changed. Hughes are available in 1.5 or 1.6 Ratio.
Also like I stated earlier. I am running the PRW's and the geometry was spot on. .634 Lift Solid Roller and the adjustment has not moved. Revv to the 7K Range all the time. Last night was no different Ran the **** out of it. Messed up 1 time on the shift bounced of the rev chip @ 7200, grabbed the gear back on it..... Never missed a beat!
