I'm interested, but I need to know if the system will handle around 375 to 400 horse.......reading your thread, it doesn't seem like it will, but thought I'd ask anyways....just in case:-k

if your vacuum is normal (16-18Ib/HG) I might be able to do something for you with a 360 computer and injectors (different programming then the 318's)

TBI relies on a vacuum signal to figure engine load; it also uses a throttle position sensor

RogerK,

TBI does require a return line but you can add that fairly easy, as for the sending unit a piece of copper 1/4" return line can be soldered into it

the best for the TBI would be the 4 barrel intake, it would bring you more gains as well as its easier to make an adapter for

thank you for your interst

I have an eddy carb and accessorys I need to sell first, but I will be ordering one soon. I was looking at the gm options but would rather keep it all Mopar.

Just checking back, Winter is coming and i'm looking for an upgrade for the 'Cuda. Is your kit something that you are still working on?

Any word on a kit for a slant? I have a 72 slant with EI in my 87 D100 and would like to upgrade it to FI.

pretty sure I can do distributors now that will work; that would have been the only hold up. the TBI gear uses its own ignition parts very unique as it requires a hall effect sensor to let the computer know the engine is running

What kind of distributor is a stock Mopar Electronic: Hall, VR or magnetic ?

Jtec EFI out of a 95-99 or so Dakota/Durango/Ram would be a better option - it is tunable w/ all the major brand hand held tuners and can handle boost plus it's multiport and not TBI-

IMHO If the computers in these kits you're selling are out of /made for a Dodge - most of those computers only control timing as my 87 D150 225 slant 6 has the same thing with a carb (dizzy has no vacuum advance = electronically controlled) it is not very good at holding steady timing, and the large hole in the ECU case MUST be hooked up to the air intake system (pre-filter) or the computer will over heat and fail (been there done that!)

Just my .02

magnum MPFI EFI is nearly impossible to adapt to a small block LA engine using the stock computer as it needs a crank sensor signal which cannot be mounted to an LA engine; I have sold 4 of these kits and run 2 on my own cars, if you have a stock or nearly stock small block it will run just fine

your '87 slant 6 is lean burn which is completely different animal; it uses a completely different way of firing the plugs; these computers use a hall effect sensor with 3 wires, yours has 2

I have a 318/904 with Mopar electronic, Edelbrock 600 cfm on a performer intake also comp XE268 cam. I am running Doug's headers so my question is would I need two O2 sensors and could they be put just behind collectors? I am thinking seriously about this kit to improve drivability and increase milage. How much increase in mpg are you seeing out of the kits that have been installed? Joe

you just need one, it may read 2/4 but that's just for OBD-II. Bung in collector as close to 4 pipes as possible. But 66 could confirm.

Subscribed. Interested.

66...Do you know what type of dizzy the 70's Ford DuraSpark EI uses? Would it be adaptable to your system?

Thanks.

Interested! Ill have to figure budget. If i can get a few of these sold for you any chance in lower price or free lmfao

Lol i could be your WA spokes man show it off at car shows and give them your info. I'll do that anyway when i can buy one.lol

I think this is great! I've wondered why companies charge so much for their aftermarket systems, 3-4 times what an aftermarket carb costs. I bet there is more cost in building a percision mechanical device like a carb then the cheep electronics that go into fuel injection. And 66 is getting a dizzy and fuel pump in the deal as well. I alreay bought my new edlebrock carb but if I would have seen this first or if I don't like the throttle response of the carb I might be interested.
