HEI for the Purists (only have one)

It won't hurt the distributor any, but it could fry your coil.
Chk the specs on your coil and find out if it is internally resisted and/or if it can take a straight 12 volts.

Although these HEI units can use quite a few different coils this unit was intended for the purist look and will work with stock coils as well as HEI coils.
A stock coil will not give an HEI ignition with the hotter spark, but it looks stock.

I gotta say this though.
I coudn't see any point in using the HEI module without an ecoil, or a similar output coil.

Other than stock Ecoils, MSD blasters, Accel coils, and a ton of others work with the HEI modules.

...and I can just run a short bypass wire on my ballast resistor to maintain the look while using an internally resisted coil or HEI coil? Increase my plug gap to 45 thous and I'm good to go...yes?:coffee2:
