Yeah the aren't all the same. For the venture bleed tubes to fall out of a Rodchester quadrajet was a very common problem. Open the throttle slowly works ok but open it quick and it acts just like no accelerator pump ( blah before varoom ).
Same result from faulted metering rods in many Carter carbs.
