That would look good with 'Rani's Auto Salvage' stenciled on the door and a load of parts in the back.

come on ...i cant park my dart next to that...... *****ducks and runs****

just kidding.

if i wasn't so broke i would pick it up and hold it for the kiddo ....but i don't even have two dollars to my name now that i graduated and they want their student loans payed back ......if i don't pay the university, they might send the Sopranos after me :laughing:

Very cool little truck/car...I like the "Ranis Mopar Salvage" idea. Rani Im sure you would find a way to make it a cool set of wheels

Kegan's at MMW. He probably won't get to a computer till tonight or tomorrow.

My brother has an 81 Charger 2.2 convertable with like 15K original miles on it...
The dealer he bought it from had 50 of them specially converted.

And Rani, it IS a 4 speed car....

I think they're cool little cars err trucks and have lots of potential! I had one when I was 16 and restored it and did a turbo intercooled/5 speed swap and it was really fast!

Who says you can't polish a turd!

im not really that familiar with this later stuff but I would have to say that looks like a LeBaron engine .....I had a an 88 LeBaron that looked a lot like that but I don't know what size the engine was or anything about it ....just that it looked similiar

Rani, in the 80s Chrysler used the turbo or naturally aspirated 2.2 in pretty near EVERY vehicle they built, save for the full size cars, vans and trucks! There were turbo Omni's, Chargers, Daytona's, Lasers, LeBarons, New Yorkers, and YES, even minivans!!! I don't know a whole lot about them, but when they were running right, they were a heckuva lot of fun! And, if you could stay out of the boost, they got pretty great mileage to boot.

The 2.2L and 2.5L was in almost every FWD that Chrysler made from 1981 to the mid 90's (k platform) and almost every car and minivan had interchangeable parts, even some Dakotas had a RWD 2.5L setup. They were a very simple and bulletproof motor. They started off as a carbureted motor (like what was in my Rampage originally) TBI, MPFI turbo and the 16v MPFI turbo (rare) so they went thru a lot of changes. They had five main bearings, steel crank (on 2.2L turbo intercooled ones) and an overhead cam non interference valve train. For a little four banger they are capable of making some good dependable HP. I was running 18lbs boost in my Rampage and it was quick!! Those little Rampages are the lightest of all the FWD Chrysler cars. (I think mine was around 2400lbs if I remember correctly)

There's a guy in NM I spotted this weekend that has a black one with SRT-4 caliber drivetrain

Here is a Rampage that is for sale in our neck of the woods. High miles an over priced though....
