The more I read and hear of other deals gone bad from him, The more I am losing my faith in Joe!

As has been said already, I would just take it as a lesson learned and move on.

But, its a very good thing you started this thread to open up some people's eyes (mine included) as to what kind of guy he is to deal with. You have possibly saved many other people from getting burned and having to go through the same B.S. that you and numerous others have already had to deal with!

I could see through this guy a mile away and I also seen his temper on the forum.

I'm pretty old school when it comes to buying parts. If I can't see it and touch it, I don't buy it. Description like "good condition", "excellent condition", are relative terms, and might not hold the same value for me as it does for you. Same goes for quality of "commitment". The word and the thought might have different definitions for each of us.

I was "gotten" once or twice, and because of that I do business strictly face to face.

I mean no offense to anyone here, but, the reality is, we all read a number of threads like this, and it happens an all the gearhead boards, not just here. Because of the frequency, and the ease in which it can happen, I've personally decided not to do business that way any more.

Even with eBay and Craigslist, I don't even inquire on something if I can't drive over to take a look.

Sorry to hear about your being taken for a ride, and I do hope that the seller has a good reason for not producing, but it doesn't take much to at least contact the buyer and update him, even if it's something he doesn't want to hear.
On the other side of that coin, I hope that there is no major illness that is keeping the seller from doing just that.

I presently have most of a 72 swinger that I've parted out, but, speaking strictly for my self, I have no intentions of putting my self in either the buyer's or the seller's position. The stuff is available, and if your in Georgia, and interested, PM me and we'll arrange a meeting so you can see the stuff. No, I'm not interested in mailing or shipping anything.

Just my 2¢.

Thanks, and I hope this situation works out to the good for all concerned.

One way is to use the Character Map that should be on your computer. Search Character Map in your "Search programs and files" location.

That is where the gibberish under my avatar came from.

It doesn't work using the numbered keys across the top of a keyboard. It does work with the number keypad to the right of a desktop keyboard.

like this... ¢

hold down the "Alt" key and type 155

There are a ton of symbols available by holding down the "Alt" key, and typing in numbers.

Degrees º "Alt" and 167

Thanks. I've used alt 248 for the degree ° symbol....

Either they duplicated some or one is for °F and the other for °C....

I had not a clue, I thought it was my key board :blob: learning everyday :D

Posts 29 through 37 were really helpful, but of no use to the topic at hand, just sayin

Don't forget about the rot box he sold AdamR

And then came up with every excuse about how he wasn't at fault, he didn't know, the car wasn't that bad, etc...

Face it, it's been a year now and he hasn't come through, he isn't going to.

Kinda throws limitations out there, but that's probably the safest way to do things.

Now THAT'S a nice pair right there.... I don't care who you are....

My nipples just had surgery. They are a thing of beauty. Tall and proud.
