12K for that green cuda is crazy, IMO.

I guess it would depend on whether you have the ability to do the stuff by yourself and how bad you want a racecar. It isn't anything to drop 5k to have a shop build a 383. Then start adding on for trans, rear, cage, tilt front end, etc... 12k could be a deal when you start paying $70+/hr shop rates.

Paint job for my barracuda has been estimated at $7500 for final prime, block, seal, base coat, clear coat. 4300 of that is labor. Needless to say, that ain't happening anytime soon. Gonna finish it and find someone to spray it. Unfortunately my father did it for years without proper ventilation and now can handle the fumes without getting violently ill.
