One thing you really need to ask is "why won't the service manual load?"
I assume you downloaded the '72 manual, which is a common .pdf file, and should display "on about anything." What do you have for a puter?
There's LOTS 'o good info in those, and worthwhile to "fix."
Maybe the file is corrupt? delete and download again?
