MRL Performance 340, WOW!

In AL we have 93 at most stations but it is watered down with 10% jokenol. Some brands say 92 but since all of the gas comes from the same terminal it is all 93 unless they blend it down while pumping like one station does.

I doubt my 416 that I copied the heads / cam of the 560 HP one Mike built will be very streetable in the sense most cars are. It will idle lumpy, have lousey gas milage, be kinda loud - but to me that is OK for a street hotrod. Won't have a heater/defroster, AM radio may no work. But it has the wing vents, sounds great, it will also smoke the tires and be a hoot to drive. So far the engine has been very reliable but that was with the hyd 508 cam and I beat the crap outta the motor. Hopefully it will fit under a flat hood.

Around here there are guys who are tickling the 5.99 (1/8th) in what they call street cars. Most have turbo or blowers. One obnoxious fox rustang on a 200 shot is even faster and he drives the car to races 100+ milea away.

Didn't mean to jack the thread. Those are very good results from a pump gas 340.
