I bought 2005 5.7 Hemi that came out of a 2005 Jeep Cherokee that was hit shortly after being purchased off the lot. Engine is mint. I bought it from a Chrysler Tech that took it and was going to put it in a hot rod. I was told it has less than 50 miles on it.

I bought it 4 years ago for a project which I sold. It has just been sitting in my heated garage covered up.

Prices for these things are all over the place up here. What do these sell for in the US with low miles? Price range would be helpful. Trying to figure out what to sell it for but people are asking stupid money up here. But I don't think they are selling. Want to sell quickly and not deal with the "Crazies" if you know what I mean.

Here is pic. I just have the engine no harness.

Thanks in advance.

I'd say 4500 maybe more if it had harness just guessing I would love to own it if I had the cash

I would get on E-bay to get an idea. We just bought a 2013 5.7 hemi out of a challenger for $2700 with less than 3k miles on it.Just to give you an idea.

The newer 5.7 09 and up are worth a little more because they have more power and the bigger eagle heads,( same port size as a 6.1).

Xs2. Ebay will show you where the real market is.

Thanks for the info everyone. I appreciate it.

I was asking $1700 CDN ($1635 US) which is what I paid for it.

So $2K or a little less for a quick sale would work?

I say your asking price is appropriate.

List it on Lxforums. You might get a bite.

Thanks. I will look into that. My problem is I really don't have the facility to ship and crate it.

I'd also trade it for a refreshed 340 or built 360 with a 727 trans.

You guys have been really helpful. Thank you.

I paid $1500 for my 2006 5.7 with a NAG1 still bolted to it, and it had 6000 miles on it when the Wagnum R/T it was in got crashed. The dude I bought it from gave $3500 for it on Ebay. He abandoned a project and sold the motor to get it out of the way. Good luck.

2K or slightly less since you don't have the accessories.

Ebay is a good place to price motors BUT you have to look at finished auctions. In other words, you have to look at the price of actual sales. A lot of people will list motors for sale with a buy it now price of 3-4K but you'll notice they NEVER sell. Thus the actual price is much lower.

A brand new motor from the dealer runs around 3500 to 4000, so there is NO WAY any used stock 5.7L Hemi is worth more than that.

Best of luck with the sale.
