A leak today. Been waiting for it to happen. Have some pvc ball valves plumbed in so I can shut the water off when I clean the filter. Was opening the valves up today after cleaning the filter and one of them sprung a leak.

We have had Lilly since 05. She has grown quite a bit over the years. Ernie started feeding her some sort of seafood snack over the winter, now it is all she will eat. When Ernie grabbed her to put her in a tub so we can drain the tank she started trying to snap at her. Was kind of funny to watch.

We drained her tank, pulled out all the rocks and are going to give it a much needed scrubbing tomorrow after we get home with the plumbing parts so I can fix it tomorrow....Damn it.....

We have a retired class pet turtle named "Boxy" living out his life in luxurous comfort at our house. Can you guess what kind of turtle he is??......

A Galapagos turtle? Oh I know! A giant sea turtle!

How about a pic of said turtles. With their heads poking out of course.

2 days later and a few trips to Home Depot she is back in her tank. Ernie spent several hours scrubbing the glass and I re-plumbed it....We put all of the small Mexican beach Pebbles back in, hopefully she will have enough to do and leaves the plumbing alone. She has a habit of pushing the plumbing around and making things leak. We need to clean some bigger rocks so she has a place to hang out on out of the water. Ernie was feeding her before, the seafood thing resembles string cheese. She held it down by her and she tried to pull it out of her hand. She is walking form side to side of the tank, rearranging all of the rocks....

what kind of turtle, I have three wood turtles.

Not real sure. Aquarium guy I used to deal with said she is a Cooter turtle....not sure of what sub-species she is. Will try to get a picture of her in the next couple of days......

We had a few other turtles with her in AZ. One of them kept screwing with her and ended up taking a bit of her foot off. It ended up in the lake by our old house....with Fish & Games permission.....
