i think the green is beat to death myself , the gold is way better looking in my opinion , but , its your ride........

There isn't many "green" cars in my area, that just makes mine stand out even more. I like green, but I'm biased. :D :glasses7:

And if you want to put the tail stripe go for it! So what if it didn't come on them. I plan on putting the superbird "Plymouth" script on my rear qtr.

Looks better on the White then the one i posted....lol. Kinda funny over the years i've always said i don't like a certain color.......then i see a car that looks great in that same color? Good thing i don't have a lot of cash......I'd probably end up with ten different models in twenty different color combo's......:D:D:D.

I'm the same way. I always hated white muscle cars..until I got my 73 satellite. I was so in love with her...had to sell her to get more done on my dart though.

pagan gold HOK with a skins custom print for the top
KBC12.jpg

thats the kind of gold i'm thinking. whatever color I go for is going to be a custom mix from the guy doing it. he is going to get is as close as he can to whatever color I want. I'd love a gold with some flake in it.

what is a skins custom print?

th
Sorry its a print of any image you can think of or a texture like snake skin etc. They are very durable just need to hand wash or touchless. Iam putting a leatherhide on one of my Valiants when its done. There are lots of places who do it just pick a reputable one.

I like the gold 70's paint setup,in your post(with the blower.I have seen a restored 71,72 Sublime Charger,(Super Bee option?),with factory white stripes running from the rear quarters,to the base of the hood.Knocked my socks off, my .02.

Gotcha. Seems like that would definitely be cool on the right project!

After talking with the guy today who is actually doing all of the metalwork/bodywork/paint on it, he is really into this car. he does alot of chevy and ford resto work, doesn't get a chance to do many Mopar's though. I think I've decided that I will be going with a green. That still leaves alot of options open though.

What are the 'traditional' Mopar greens? I do like metallic, but a sublime would be cool too. or like a rallye green.

And I believe I want to do a Flat Black(possibly satin finish) for the hood. Black Vinyl Top. And a custom black tail stripe that he will paint on before he shoots the clear on the car. I may consider other stripes instead of the tail stripe also..

MMMM, nice car!!! brought back alot of memories.... I had a 73 Charger SE. I bought it in 75. Same gold inside & out w/black top, bucket seat interior, rebuld the engine & trans a few years later, w/mild cam & shift kit, 400ci w/4v. had 10" rockette w/N50x14 on rears & E70x14 on fronts. Slightly jacked up in rear & front to accomadate the larger tires & give it a nice stance. Tires very seldom rubbed. Probably the best "all around " car I ever had. Nice looking, fast, hardly EVER had to wrench on it. Thanks for the memory trip & good luck w/your rebuild!!!

Great looking Charger to work on fredsmedina! I think the gold with a black top will look awsome!

Stripped the remains of the vinyl top. All bumpers and trim removed. Motor and transmission removed. Some glass removed already. Really getting excited about this project! Finally giving her the attention that she deserves!

Decided today that we're going to go ahead and take off the fenders as well to take care of the inner fenders and do this thing right the first time.

what are your guys thoughts on this custom stripe i'm planning on painting for the hood? I'm making the car one of a kind. already removed SE emblems, and the signal markers on top of the fenders. this is a real rough image that I made with the build in 'paint' program on my computer. I want to come in about 4 inches(roughly) from the edge of the hood, then make a 1/4" pin stripe. after the pin stripe, approx 7/16" of bodycolor (plum crazy) and then a wide flat black stripe that goes the whole width of the hood(minus about 4 inches on each side). Then within the black stripe I will have a body color mopar 'M' and the word 'MOPAR' underneath that. just like the official logo. the approx. dimensions of that will be like 16"x16". Just to make sure that it isn't too close to the centerline of the hood. The white line painted down the centerline of the hood on my image is just to signify that that is where my hood comes to a point in the middle. The painted on decal will be at like a 45 degree angle (similar to the nice big 340 callouts on our mopars). what do you guys think??

Ya, Sublime is to done to death and with the interior a nice gold or bronze with a light tan top would look sweet although black top is OK also. Grey wouldn`t look right unless you go black or white interior.

I already chose color... check out my plum crazy charger. gold is nice though. just wanted something more high impact.

Really like the hood treatment!!! Go with it, you won't see another like it. Plum Crazy is my second favorite color :)
