Why are front end rebuild kits so expensive??

-
I still want to know what this $600 kit was and what all it included. I was looking again today, most of them are around $250 with almost everything, and minus a pitman arm. I'm still going to piece mine together for less with good parts.

Here is one on eBay but I believe it was the same on Classic Industries or somewhere (some times I've looked so many places for so many parts, I can't keep it all straight):

Thanks so much for your help ... I'd love to see the ones for $250

Try Rock Auto. Vey reasonable. I got all Moog parts for my 72 Demon from them. Good luck, Joe

Take a look at Inkjunkies' moog part numbers for tie rods.
62 - 69 A & B bodies are the same
70 - 72 B and 70 -76 A are the same
How do the 69 A & B body tie rods differ from 70 A & B body tie rods?

PST kits are $230. They come pieced together but there are some Moog parts in there.

If you want an idler arm and pitman arm then it'll be $100 extra or so...but still well below whatever kits you guys are looking at for $500+.

A lot of these expensive kits come with things you probably don't need like sway bar bushings, tie rod adjusters and the camber bolts that go through the upper control arm bushings. Chances are you don't have a sway bar or you already have these other pieces and they are normally in reusable condition.
