Interresting car! What is the story with those wheels? Were they factory in Brazil?

Hi,

these aluminum wheels were factory default for the 79 Brazilian charger model.
Chrysler was the first car in Brazil to have light metals league wheels.

they are very rare nowadays. In fact, my friend paid more than 2,000 dollars (R$4000 local currency) on 4 wheels.

One curious thing, Chrysler bolts pattern in Brazil are different... they build wheels based on old Simca machines (5 bolts x 108mm).

Just happen to see this thread....

I followed your other thread pretty close and it is cool to see you are starting another project. Your skills with the resources that you have are absolutely amazing to me. I love the picture in the first post of you (I think that is you) next to the Dart, you look TOTALLY STOKED!! to have the car. That just puts a smile on my face.

Tome cuidado e boa sorte com seu novo carro!

Alex,
I am curious about the availability of parts. Is it easy to find parts such as the brake parts and things like tune-up parts?
I enjoy your pics.
Thanks,
Dallas

It's hard to find parts in Brazil.

Most of them, I import from USA (ebay). Specially suspension parts.

There is one manufacturer that still making the rear brake cylinder here in Brazil. But it is not easy to find.

I modified my brake line to use off-the-shelf parts.
