1991 Pontiac Firebird (under 20K miles)

Some times things just work out.

A fella came by this morning for a test drive; the first person to even come look at it. After the test drive, he offered me $5000. I told him I'd have to call my aunt to verify she was good with that price. My aunt wasn't home so I left a message. He left after I told him I'd give him a call as soon as I found out.

I decided to drive the car to my favorite carwash about 20 minutes away; they always treat me great and give a military discount. While I was there, the owner saw the car and asked about it. and I told him that it was for sale he offered me $5000 for it. I told him I already had $5000 offer for it about 30 minutes prior and I was waiting for a call from my aunt. He then offered me $5100 if I would sell it to him right then and not call the other guy back. I told him I couldn't do that, but I would give him a call after the other fella called me back.

My aunt had called while I was at the carwash and said take the $5000. I called the first fella and left a message for him that I needed to talk to him. Four and a half hours later he still hadn't called me so I called one more time and told him I had another offer for it and I need him to call me immediately. I gave him 30 more minutes and then called the owner of the carwash. The owner was very excited. We went to the bank, he gave me cash, and the notary there notarized the title for us. When I got home, there was a message on the machine. The original fella didn't want to pay more than $5K for it and to sell it to the other guy.

My aunt was very excited that the vehicle sold and was happy about the extra $100 as well.
