WTF?! You gotta see this!

I think it has the real rare 480 PSI Hijacker air shocks! Sorry, but I just don't care for the insanely jacked up rear. I've had cars in the World of Wheels car shows as early as 1973. And I've seen custom stuff, but I really can't say I've seen or remember that style.

That style was popular for a time in SoCal. Some had nice appeal while others were hideous. I think the Runner would look better with bigger tires in the rear. Still, it brought a grin to my face.

I like everything else about it except for the height. I would leave it straight axle but put it down where it belongs. I guess the hood rats with the 30" wheels didn't invent the skyjackers at all. They rebirthed old technology

Ya see, I don't remember the straight axle cars being the bumper scraping tail draggers that everyone says they used to be. I remember them more like this....

I just googled these pics, so I apologize to anyone if they're unhappy with me posting them.

Cool for sure, but it reminds me.of a woman hiking up her skirt so it won't get wet!

Man!! That thing needs a lot more tire under it and a HUGE BLOWER sticking out of the hood. Then an Ed Roth Character on top of it with a 4 speed shifter. Then It would be PERFECT!!!

Pretty Cool!!!
Wish I had pics of my 73 'Cuda that was up
in the air like that back in the day.
My car, my way!

Naysayers:finga::finga::finga:

I'm not sure when that car was built, and I certainly don't think it's the greatest thing since sliced bread, but it's a great reminder of how trends can take on a life of their own.

Look at the hyd suspension guys.....it got to where you had to get the whole car off the ground or be able to stand it on the bumper to be cool.

The baggers aren't satisfied unless they can drop below ground when they park....lol.

Pro street gumball's so big you could barely hang springs or see the center section.....

Monster trucks.....

3000hp supposed street cars, etc....

Someone will always try and out do someone else.....it's just the nature of the beast.:D

I would drive the wheels off of that thing.....I think it is just awesome!! They made a million of those cars and they are not rare anyway, it's cooler than an original restored one IMO any day :prayer:

x2 i like the car i would drive it

That car has everything.
Radical custom, a touch of originality, a head turner, and a conversation piece.
It's badass and dumbass all rolled into one. It's definitely unique and a representation of the '70s custom look. I remember those days well.
I love it and hate it all at the same time.
Would i drive it? Yes!
Would i buy it? No!
I bet it handles GREAT!
It would be easy to change oil on though.........

Funny how things come back around.
Lifted 4x4 diesel trucks smoking everything
at the track.
Or this horrible looking car.............NOT!!!
Gives me wood just lookin at the pic!

I took those pictures here in MN, cool car :glasses7:

I'm old enough to remember things like that I thinks it cool but one thing to keep in mind is with a good car & enough cash & a little acid the 60s - 70s could be cool. We are here on this site because we liked what Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth did in the early 60s - early 70s and this is the company that had the BEST paint colors in the world at that time. So what if Steve Jobs didn't think of it first.

The dart here is hella cool. Looks more like an older gasser with it's front end up higher than the rear.
