I can't find my pitman arm nut for a 66 dart, what size do I need?

Thanks,

Allen

I need the size of the nut that holds the pitman arm on the steering box, not the one for the drag link.

Anyone?

Thanks

I want to say 3/4 -NF.
1&1/8 hex
If I'm wrong we can blame my failing memory.

I might have one here if you need one, along with the washer.

Socket size is 1 5/16". At least that is what mine is.

I just need to know the thread size (diameter and pitch). Somewhere I found 7/8"x14. Can anyone verify if it's 3/4 or 7/8? I think I gave mine away :banghead: to a high school kit that needed a power steering box. Since I was changing to manual steering I didn't need the old box. My guess is that it was attached to the box.

Thanks cracked back, If i don't figure out the correct size I may take you up on your offer. Please PM me what you want for it.

Thanks everyone

Until about 73 both power steering and manual steering used the same nut.
Then the nut on the power steering box changed to 7/8 -NF which is 1&5/16 hex.
Some of the rules like "hex is 1/2 again the size of the shank" I'll probably never forget.

Local hardware store had grade 8 for $2.30 and another buck for the washer.

Thanks again!!
