always gotta be different

I love all things 70s. Street Freaks, Lowriders, it's all good to me. I like the reverse tilt hood, the supremes and the tube grille. Keep going your own direction. It looks great.

btw, I'm also doing the same prism treatment to my dash. I'm going with gold though. I'm also going to carry it over to the door panels and the console. It'll be semi Smokey and The Bandit.

That hood is the shiznit. Love the car man great work
thanks, good to see people liking "different"

wow forgot about this thread
haven't been able to work on this since I've been workin in texas for te last year and a half now but hasn't stopped me from getting ideas for it

not sure who all has say me "need measurments" thread, but I bought a 85 Nissan 300zx

just so I could just the roof off

went up to visit the family for the 4th of july and brought a bunch of stuff back, including the t-top roof.
set the glass on the dart roof and it should be a pretty good fit

I've also ordered 3 pounds of chrome flake for it in 3 different sizes, there was a deal so I got a pound and a half of rainbow flake free for something else

Your car do as you see fit. Screw the folks who say otherwise.....

hey stock sucks
and everyone builds high performance mod rods outta em
I like my lowridersso that's how im gonna build it
fuk the haters

Are the windows going to cause a problem rolling up into the T tops?

I don't think so
When I get back up there I'm gonna look more into it
I have another complete roof I'm thinking of chopping up, then this way I can swap the whole rod at the factory seems

cool ideas lol.

just for history's sake, though... i'm pretty sure that the low rider stuff with the cars that jumped up and down and stuff was from the 80's

the 70's had the Van craze...

Lowriders were around and strong in the 70s
But back then they were lowriders, they rode low
None of that hoping BS

I was born in the fifties and remember seeing 50% of the old racer's and street drivers
lowered in the back and raised in the front to transfer weight to the rear tires way back
in the day, It seems to me you hit the look :glasses7: I remember seeing them back in 60'es and it may
have made it into the very early 70'es like 1972 as a gasser look and then there was the big rear tires all jacked up in the rear look at the same time.
Very nice job on the grill and seeing a hood on a mopar open that direction is different and has a mod retro look.
Taking pleasure of being creative and different (what ever make of car) you have is a good thing :thumblef:

Keep us updated :coffee2: this is the first late A body I have seen worked up this way :thumblef:

I don't know where you been, but I've seen plenty of pictures of hoppers in the 60's and 70's...
Ok I guess I should of rephrased that, Hoppers were around but not like today
nowadays most lowriders are built to hop
Sure its kinda cool, but id rather cruise by nice n low
