I believe you are correct David, all of the cars my friend has (3) has this system in them, a 66 mustang, 26 Hudson and a 58 Ranchero that has been flawless for over 5 years now. he installed all of them at his home shop.
They are very quit and will freeze you out, and the compressor is small as is most of the components.
