I personally think that someone should really do a complete write up about swapping the front discs on pre-72 's for the 73+ discs including all the different spindles that work, what all should be pulled from the donor car, how to do it etc. then make it a sticky that can't be commented on so it doesn't get cluttered. I know there's a bunch of threads on it but one say-all sticky would be nice. What do y'all think?
 
Sure save a lotta typing, cutting and pasting,, week after week.. then we'd just have to post the link.. cuz people still wouldn't find it.. lol

Who is officially in charge of the thread? What are the rules to the thread? The incharge person decides what is relevant and irrevelant info?

I think it is a good idea to consolidate all the upgrade to front end BBP / 73 up disc or 73 up and 11.75 rotor upgrades info into one thread.

Lots of times people get all jibbered up about drag link and pitman arms, strut rods, caliper mounts, wheel depths and diameter clearances and spindles when upgrading from 72 -earlier.

I had been jibbered up on almost every topic until lots of research, advice and threads later I got it all down solid.
 
What good would it be hanging out on here if we can't disagree on things. It would get boring. If you don't disagree you don't learn the stupidity of all others against yourself.

If being right is wrong who would want to be right.

With all the variables the sticky would get a little slippery.

I have yet to see a sticky on early /6 to V8 transformation :sign3: If there is one let me know :D

I agree, fact and experience would be cool to see if I was doing any of these upgrades in a sticky :thumblef:

Bruce's post needs to be the sticky. it has been around forever and has plenty of into thru it on what works and what doesn't and plenty of people have already argued in there over it. I think it covers everything
