I called the cable company they told me it is still available in Canada. But not in the US. FOX1 Sucks They were the ones to take it off. Now I will not watch Fox networks at all.

I still get Speed Channel here in Texas, at least it was on today. My cable provider is Consolidated Communications and so far, other than screwing up the scheduling of the NHRA races they have done fairly well.

nhra is not on the speed channel...the are on espn2

you might want to check the guide....

WTF?

I noticed that yesterday.

I'm more of a Velocity guy, but it was nice having both.

They have been advertising this for quit a while now. That's all we need is more stick and ball sports and cheer leading competition to fill in.

Speed's still "here" in Canada, but it's a far-cry from what it was just a few days ago. If you enjoy endless repeats of the lame recorded shows (Wrecked,Pinks,Unique Wimps, Pimp My Ride, etc), same ads looped again and again, then it's the channel for you! We, apparently, won't even be getting FS1, no matter how bad it is.

And...the've instantly turned it into ESPN -- Fox Sports Live on loop like Sports Center all freakin morning, same show over and over. <uhhgghh>

Yep,
Knew this was coming for quite some time now. Notice that Fox kept Trashcar coverage. It sucks but they REALLY think that we need a THIRD all sports network.

Now where are we gonna watch the Barrett Jackson auctions so we can overprice our cars for sale????

I guess the government doesn't want racing anymore. Unless its Nascar. I am going to miss some of the programs. Like Pass time. Wasn't Chop-Cut-Rebuild on speed? Did Duster Dan from CCR know this was going to happen?

Oh sure.... Favor the Canadians... I mean favour the Canadians....

What did the Americans do to piss them off and take it away from us??? (Get the pun us/US...)

This is discrimination!

Nothing against the Canadians.

Read post #9 dude....no favour done for us there

i am with the rest of you do we really need another football channel. this just sucks

They are keeping the 2 worst shows Nascar and Barrett Jackson. Velocity is still good. Wonder where Stacey David "Gearz Host" will be now cause I really liked that show. Mecum auctions have always been much better than the BJ ones...

a lot of the shows already moved to velocity channel from speed

It's a raw deal for sure. I went to the Michigan 400 yesterday with my Grandson mostly just to give him the experience, I'm not a big NASCAR fan. My wife tuned into the new Fox1 to watch the race from home. But wait........ it wasn't there. Ironic that a network boasts about being a race/car enthusiast network and didn't show the race......WTF? She had to go to ESPN to watch it. :banghead:

I just sent them an email this morning after looking at their lineup and told them there is nothing worth watching on there now, I won't be tuning in, and thanked them for ruining a schedule that I used to enjoy at times.

And I don't get Velocity so................

I have Velocity, and to be honest, i watch it more frequently than I watched Speed, so, while I understand the angst in losing a good gear head network, I'm not overly bothered.

The race is on ESPN now because that is the how the contract is handled.Fox has a contract to show so many races then ESPS shows some and also TNT. Next race will be on ABC because the same company owns them and ESPN.NASCAR switched to ESPN several races ago.
