Feature Magazine Coverage for Scrapyard Scamp

Different strokes for different strokes, I suppose. Execution on the body and exterior are first rate. Power seats with bun warmers in an A-body. Who'd have thought? I probably would have done something to break up all the black in there.

The engine is an interesting choice. For all that Mopar howled about a /6 to create a lower hood line, here's a 3.0 liter (bigger than the 2.7 originally stuck in there) upright six in there knocking out 3 X more power with better fuel economy. Did you give any thought to the /6 from BMW?

IMO, it's better for a car that has been fixed up this well to roll with a t/c'd rice burner motor than to not be rolling at all or worse yet to be rotting away in someone's barn or backyard. What I see here, on the other hand, is someone's vision for what an A-body might be like had Mopar been on the forward edge of engine development instead of band-aiding the Mitsubishi 3.0 to run in minivans.
