I was wondering if anybody makes these parts? I did a search and couldn't find any suppliers. I was wondering if anybody has interest in these pieces if I made them? I have access to getting these made out of nylon (CNC machined, not cast) I'd make them a little stronger than factory. It seams like a common piece to wear out and make your heater controls sloppy.

Just gauging interest. Please let me know if you've seen them.

That market is limited to 72 and earlier.
There have been several threads about those plastic stems breaking and how to repair them with a brass or nylon screw from the local hardware store.
The root of the problem is not in the plastic itself anyway. Binding doors commonly caused by debris in the case, etc.. is why the plastic breaks.
If the failure didn't occur there the actuator cable would wad up / kink. Those cables and/or their attach points on the case are much more difficult to repair or replace.
Just points to ponder. Good luck

Thanks for the info! I guess I'll just make some for my heater controls at work on my spare time. I figured it was a common problem and that there might be a demand for them. If I were to make a batch of them I'd have to have an interest in them to get an idea of how many to make and how much material to order. I know there wouldn't be really any money to be made in them either, but it sure would be nice to have more little items that wear and break being reproduced. I know I'd rather buy them than spending hours making them, haha.

In my view, providing such a part isn't about sales numbers or profit. I'm all about serving the community and generating happy moparing. I'm sure you would ship some if buyers can find them.
I do suggest replacements be made from the same material as OEM for reasons stated earlier.

I have a few good original controls that are not broken let me know if you are interested in one
