What movie/show gets to you?

Okay, heres a Mopar movie that I find deeply disturbing even though I have only seen the last half of the movie on TV twice and have never seen the entire movie.

"One Way To Valhala" is the movie. Its about a mechanic (who's apparently not an especially nice person but likely represents someone's stereotype of anyone who owns a muscle car) who works in a shop full of Mopars, who is more devoted to his AAR Cuda than to his wife and step daughter. In the movie he gets caught driving drunk and his Cuda is impounded.
As a result he rides his bike to work but has an accident on the bike sustaining a head injury. He undergoes a complete personality change after the head injury. He no longer has an interest in anything he was interested in before the accident, not even having a job or eating (except he does eat red beets if they are perfectly round). He's happy, his step daughter thinks he's become "enlightened" and thinks its great, while everyone else sees that he is brain damaged especially since he no longer cares about the car.
The step daughter gets him in deeper trouble by burning all notices of his court dates then dumps him in the woods to protect him from the law. At the end of the movie he runs off to live like the "back to nature" hippie type person his step daughter would like to be even though its clear that he will starve to death if he doesn't find some beautiful beets growing in the wild.
I think I find it disturbing because I think there are too many people out there that would see the main character's change as "enlightenment" instead of brain damage, and would love to brain wash the rest of us into thinking the same way. Somehow I see it as a liberal's idea of a car movie. Its perfectly clear that if he does somehow survive and return to the real world and start driving again, he would be driving a Prius and not a Cuda.
