Mini starter with 383/ 4 speed

I removed the orignal mopar starter today and I was going to install my mini starter and the Z bar prevents the starter from coming to the face of the bellhousing/block by 1/4". Has anyone else ran into this? I can clearance the z-bar but I was wondering if there was a way to adjust something to make it work?
 
haha thats funny. It's actually the boss for the 5" long, 1/4" (or so) bolt that holds the motor of the starter. I should have taken a picture, but now im at work.
 
Awesome info... The mini mini starter looks smaller even in the front by the boss. I'm going to give one of those a try. Thanks again!!
