I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on buying some new rear leaf springs for my 340 swinger. It seams that everyone is using one of these companies on their A Body. Espo seems to be the cheapest. I'm kinda afraid of buying from mopar fiat performance,Hotchkis lowers the car and well Eaton is way more expensive than the rest but they are supposed to build from factory blueprints.
SO 3 questions,
1 Who makes the most accurate reproduction leaf springs for my 69 340 swinger?
2 Are Eaton Detroit springs worth the extra $$ ?
3 Who makes the longest lasting most durable springs?

Cheeck these out. 340 style 6 leaf springs.

That's a good price, but they are also a 2 1/2" lift spring. I didn't search their site, but if you're looking for an accurate reproduction, I would go with a stock height spring or maybe a +1" spring.

You could always find a spring shop and have your stock springs re-arched and an additional leaf added. There has to be a good spring shop somewhere in the Chicago area?

BTW I used ESPO +1 springs on my Dart and this is how it sits three years later

Nice Dart! Love the stance! I'm thinking of using the +1" springs on my 70 Duster

ESPO. Many happy customers here at FABO, they really are a "mom and pop" small business. I got +1" regular-duty leafs and Laura made sure I got the right hardware, one phone call and I was set and their prices are great.

My left spring is broken so rebuilding the springs is out. I'm pretty much leaning towards Espo. they gave me a quote for springs ubolts, front hangers and bolts shipped for around $400.

That's a pretty black dart BrianT ! Is that a black vinyl top or did you paint it black?

Another +1 for ESPO, put on their springs with a full rebuild 2 years ago and they've been great as far as I can tell.

I have the ESPO +1 6-leaf springs on my Dart, they are about 4 years old. Price was right and i'm happy with the stance.

most are concerned with how it will look.
if you want a firmer more modern ride that handles better you'll
have to consider all your suspension components and keep it
stock height or even lower.

Mcveighs, find them on eBay.....good price, free shipping and the fit/finish is outstanding.

ir3333 I'm not worried too much about the height other than its close to stock ride height so I'm not screwing up the pinion angle. My dart handled pretty good in stock form.

yes db,i rebuilt my Duster suspension to stock specs with all new components and it rides and handles pretty good too.
..i have a new Dart project now and am going to try to firm up the ride and improve handling, hope i don't screw things up.

Brian, I hope when my Dart grows up it looks as good as that.

Thanks guys! It's a replacement vinyl top that was put on when one of the previous owners repainted the car from red to black. It's still in real nice shape and shines nicely using Mother's Back to Black. The rest of the car is a good twenty footer. Don't look to closely...

I have new ESPO "HD 340" springs factory height. Very friendly people with good prices.

They are definitely lots more stiff than my worn out factory turds.

Car is still a shell (100% empty) and springs are new, so ride height is still high
