Well we dropped the car down on all 4s tonight (to give us a break from fabbing the seats to fit) and was surprised that we had no front suspension movement to speak of.

I cannot believe how easy it is to work on the engine at this height :)

Anyway, I had it at it's lowest level looking to see what rake it would give us. So we raised the car again and cranked on the adjustment nuts and dropped it again. Finally bounce. So we have it very near to the rake we want but we wondered if there was a "standard" out there or just set it where you like it ?

Don't bother with the factory instructions. 1.5" from the flat of the lower control arm bump stop pad, not the bump stop itself, to the flat of the strike plate on the frame rail should be plenty of safe zone. More than that is good to. Keep in mind that the more rake, the less caster.

Mine is about 25 1/2 from the ground to the front fender using the center of the hub as the centerline for this measurement.

Thanks....the front really need to be aligned.. but that is a great place to start.

Yup, ride height needs to be set prior to alignment.
