Bryce and I have been toying with the idea of selling the Duster and using the money for a down payment on a house,he is getting married next year and wants to start out with a house of their own.
We took the Duster out to a weekly event called "Cars and Coffee" which is held every Saturday morning in Irvine Ca, There was at least a couple of hundred cars out there mostly new sports cars but it had its share of older cars too.We had the best time showing off the Duster ,It was not the nicest car out there but it really did get quite a bit of attention,We spent 3 hours there and kinda came home with even more mixed feeling about getting rid of our project.
It is Bryce's car and I totally support what ever he wants to do with it but it felt really good talking to people about the car.We have had the Duster for the past 10 years and it was Bryce's first car,Its been a father and son project and we have spent countless hour together working on it.We really are not sure if it should go just yet.

Going to be hard to part with a father/son project. Maybe you can buy it from him or possibly help with the down payment. Wishing you all the best with this.

A friend and his brother each did a Chevy II with their Dad in high school. When they were at that point of starting the next step in life, Dad, who mostly funded the projects bought the cars from them. When they were in a better place financially they bought them back. A thought if you are in the position or either thinks it will be a regret down the road.

Yea, we talked alot about that and if I was in the position to buy the car from Bryce it wouldnt even be problem at all but unfortunutly that is not an option,Neither one of us wants to get rid of the car but we have always said that this thing has been an investment and if ever there came a time where we needed cash that it would bring in some pretty good coin, Bryce has put alot of money into it and we have spent many a nights and weekends playing with it.We still have some time but it is going to be tough to see it roll out of the driveway for the last time with somebody else behind the wheel.

From the been there and around the block guy that has seen a few things, a co-worker sold his car. A long time companion of his. He also hated to do it for the same of the house.

Once he received his take return after the house purchase, a new car hit the new stable. The return was enough to grab another project car. A d in pretty good shape. I do not know what the return was or what he paid for the car. My return was good when I purchased my house as well. Should your future house not need a lot of work/updating a d you put down a fair amount. Your tax return could possibly be enough for another car to mess around with.
