FABO cowboys

The whole Mopar is better thing has worn VERY thin with me. Years ago the Ford/Chevy/Mopar war was understandable. But with how the herds of all Muscle cars have thinned over the years it is kind of stupid to not be at least tolerant of other brands. And there is nothing wrong with admitting that the "OTHER" brands produced some good ideas...and good parts. Sad part is that 5.0 Duster will probably outrun most "stock" small blocks in performance/reliability & economy. I guess the truth is painful for some. I am on the fence about starting a build thread for my car. It is going to have either a big inch Windsor or LS under the hood.....I really don't want to hear all the crying over it. My car, my funds. Don't like it oh well. Voice your opinion and move on with your life. Don't sit there and call me names, etc......Some of these is just folks being keyboard commandos. What really makes me laugh is with all the butt patting that goes on here at FABO that the behavior towards people building a cross breed even exists.

Ewwww....please put on the chaps with ***.....much better.
Is there anything that says any car must be strictly parted with manufacturer specific parts? Geez I hope not...my car's full of aftermarket parts and from different years. Thanks to Jegs, Summit, Mopar Performance, Mancini Racing, BPE, Hughs, Moser, Edelbrock, Demon, Wheel Vintiques, AMD and probably some others I forgot. If it weren't for these guys we'd all be in a mess.
I do love Ford 9" rearends...and the cobra engines are pretty darn sweet.
To each his own, live and let live and let's have fun talking about the different mods without hating on them because they're different.
Being different's a good thing and what this country was founded on.
It's just my very humble opinion... the way some folks may ask for help and poor responces to that help is a totally different matter.

I used to be such a sweet, sweet thing
Till they got a hold of me
I opened doors for little old ladies
I helped the blind to see
I got no friends 'cause they read the papers
They can't be seen with me
And I'm gettin' real shot down
And I'm feelin' mean

No more Mister Nice Guy
No more Mister Clean
No more Mister Nice Guy
They say he's sick, he's obscene

I got no friends 'cause they read the papers
They can't be seen with me
And I'm feelin' real shot down
And I'm gettin' mean

No more Mister Nice Guy
No more Mister Clean
No more Mister Nice Guy
They say he's sick, he's obscene

My dog bit me on the leg today
My cat clawed my eye
Mom's been thrown out of the social circles
And dad has to hide
I went to church incognito
When everybody rose the Reverend Smithy
He recognized me and punched me in the nose

He said, no more Mister Nice Guy
No more Mister Clean
No more Mister Nice Guy
He said you're sick, you're obscene

The 5.0 Duster thread would have been a lot more tolerable if it hadn't been written in such an arrogant, in your face way. Build what you want and enjoy it, but don't try to rub it in anyone else's face. Most of my buddies are Ford and Chevy guys, so I catch a lot of crap being a MOPAR guy. It's what I learned how to work on - if I switched brands now, it would take me another 30 years to learn how to work on the darn things!!!!

What is that, a Segway with a training wheel?

It's his hog. He's going to arrest loitering punks.

I saw one at Target, the first time.

I just about pissed my pants, laughing on the spot. The guard was not amused.

As Rob kept saying in the thread, it wasn't the build it was the attitude.

The kind of attitude that basically came across as "I'm a better builder than all you combined..." While the engine sits with a lean, the "one size fits most" upper radiator hose, and whatever we can't see.

If you're going to build it, build it! Engineer it. Do it right! Then you can claim as to how it was built. This kid didn't do that. And then, basically, told everyone to f*** off with his attitude.

I'd have been more impressed if he'd made a 300 inline six fit. The right way. Standing straight up. Between the cowl and the core support. And gotten the hood to close.

Great song,Greymouser.Personally, swap what you have/want/dream up. You have to live with it.The newer technology, kicks *** these days.

Anyone got a link to the 5.0 thread? I could use some stupidity to laugh at tonight.:happy1:

EDIT: Nevermind, found it and read it. Funny stuff man.
