I also purchased my first NEW car in 1968. It was a 68 Hemi RR. First car was in 1965, it was a 1957 Fairlane. I paid $25.00 for it. Remember those days?
Kids today have no idea.
I bought my first car in 1990 for $150, 79 Malibu. I guess you call that inflation. I enjoyed it for a year on the backroads before I turned 16. I sold it to whoever had the most money in their pocket that day, got a whopping $5 for it! Lol!! Oh well, it was worth it, I had a lot of fun in that car teaching myself how to drive on gravel! ;)
