A230 transmission

Hi,

I'm doing a slant 6 A-904 automatic swap to a V8 (318) for my 69 Valiant.

For that I bought a 318 and a A230 gearbox that came from a 73 Roadrunner.

Is it true that the A230 from an e-body does not fit my Valiant ?

Also, if I don't find a correct tail housing for my a-body then will the 318 and a833 match?
Do I need a v8 bellhousing or are the slant6 and v8 bellhousing same for a833?

Are there differences between the A833 from different Mopars?

Also does a 64 clutch pedal assemble fit to my 69 Valiant ?

Kristjan.

a B/E body trans has the long tailshaft ....it wont work in an A-body without heavy modification and the shifter will be all wrong ....its easier to find a short shaft A-body unit

the V8 bell will accept a 230 or 833 ....a slanty bell will only take a 230 unless its for an OD with the large bearing retainer

64 pedals will not work in a 69 ....completely different setup
