who is into Nascar

no offense but watching to hope they crash if pretty f**ked up... those guys can get injured or killed at those speeds (yes I know its their choice but not what im getting at), the loss of equipment, and the possible loss of fans in the seats.

I was watching at Santa Maria Dirt Oval in Central CA and I saw two of the worst crashes I have ever seen, one is always top ten in the "world worst crashes" show and the other they wont play. the top ten was a Sprint car with the wing on (they ran without a lot as SM) and he got bumped in the entrance of the number one turn, rolled and rolled and damn near flipped up and over the fence into the parking lot. they had to pull the car off the top of the fence. I cant find it on youtube but I recall it being late 90's early 2000's.

the next and worst was also at SM. again the sprint cars with the wings on were really going after it, they were getting close to the final laps and in turn three someone bumped another or a tire let loose I don't know, but he rolled I don't know how many times at speed almost thru turn 4 onto the front straight away. well about half way between 3 and 4 you see a helmet come out of the car and roll down the front straight away, it went dead quiet then. the car finally stopped and the Alky was running all over the track and all over the car, seemed like for ever and then the driver popped up out of the car, walked away unhurt thankfully. got the car pushed out and lit the alky.

my point being is I would never hope to see any of the classes of racing crash, and nascar fan seem to thrive on it... :wack:

EDIT: bomber might have been/seen those back in the day, I was just a little guy still but I remember...
