POLL-Paint or undercoat?

My 68 had previously had carpet replaced around late 90's (previous owner). They glued carpet padding to the floorpan, then installed carpet. They car has been parked for at least 5 yrs. I pulled it all out, cleaned floorpan with lacquer thinner and painted. I used rustoleum with acrylic hardener and naptha thinner. I painted my MF-135 tractor with Tractor Supply paint, acrylic hardener and naptha. After two years it looks like the day that I painted it. I'm putting in Reflectix insulation (hillbilly Dynamat from Lowe's) and using carpet padding in the footwells. Cost is negligable. Listen to RustyRatRod!
