Maybe take the trans to a transmission shop and have them change it for you.
Around here, they will do it for free if you buy the seal from them, and in the back of your pickup while you wait!
They have a special seal driver that they use.
It's not really that hard to do yourself if you are careful......
I would drive the car as is for awhile, it looks pretty cool.
