I've tried working this out in an older thread , so far no response . I'm not in too big of a hurry either . Just don't want to see them ruined or destroyed senselessly .

I know what you mean, I PMed oldman when he posted about this in the other thread, been waiting for a price, ready to buy them all, but waiting....hopefully one of us can buy them

That sucks, I'd rather someone get them than they all be destroyed.

yep, a ballpark price would be nice. theres a couple of us who would be interested

I don't want or need them all , I'd be willing to go in with someone and split the swag . Just sayin' ......

I would go in with ya james but no moneys I hope yall get them . Thats my dream to get some of them .

I just want SOMEONE to end up with them . Its a shame to see anything go to waste when the buyers are waiting .

I have no clue what they are worth. I mentioned what I paid years back. But I bet if I would say a dollar each delivered You guys would be all over them. I haven't heard an offer from anyone except for $75.00 for all. That disgusted me and I really don't care if I sell them or not. I thought pics would give someone an idea of there worth . I guess not. Some members were here the other day and put them in the race car trailer for me to get them out of the shop.

The models in the display cases are in the man cave above the garage where my son is staying. He asked me if he could keep the cases and what is in them and I gave them to him. Some of the Diecast I gave to Kids that came with their parents to buy parts. You could see they were bored with the long ride they took. Now I bet they will beg there dad to come back to buy more parts. May work out for the better.

How can I give a price on something that I don't know the value. Are they worth less then what I paid? If I think you are an honest person It would be in your favor.

I know model builders are not shitting out money. If they were they wouldn't be building models. Steve

IMO , the open kits are worth less than sealed ones . Naturally , the older kits would be worth more , and still sealed older kits most of all . Some kits you have are still in the stores , and available to anyone . I see several I'd like to have that are still available in stores , more or less just to help someone out . I've done that many times . But if you have already removed them and are content , thats fine . I'm just trying to help your situation , and help you make a few bucks doing it . I won't "throw out a price" , they are your property . Thats just me . You set a starting price , go from there .

theres a model kit show on the 29th, its in pittsburgh, but there are a lot of model car guys over on the east side of pa. they could give you a better idea on the value of those kits.

Might even buy you out . I've done that at a few model shows . Thats why some people go to them .

"How can I give a price on something that I don't know the value."

If you've got any early 80's dodge trucks, early 70's dusters, or late 60's ford trucks I'll make an offer for them.

back when i did a lot of shows and events at the drag strip i bought a collection
400 models for 250.00 ( his price) a lot of the NASCAR ones we sold for 5.00 ea or 3 for 10
made money on the old sealed kits and models i built of peoples show cars. i still have about 5/6 left

looking at the pics of kits i only see about 10/12 that are rare and have not been reissued. when they started doing reissue they killed the true collectors .
the one of the Demon i have never seen

this was late 90 to 2004

In the 60's they were about $2.50 each. And a new Swinger was under $3,000.00. But we are not in the 60's. A mint Swinger now is around $30,000.00. Go figure? .

About 6 yrs ago I put some on Ebay. Some went for the opening bid of $9.99. most went for around $20.00. and some more. I am considering some of the offers I received just to get rid of them. There have been trades offered that are interesting also. But no offers rang the dinner bell yet. Steve

That Demon kit unbuilt is worth alot, seen some on eBay go well over $200, even the box alone is worth money to collector. Good luck!

Steve, if you want the maximum return on your investment, your gonna have to sell them one at a time. You could do that here, but you will get more on ebay. Then you will have to list/package/and ship each one, which takes lots of time. I know serveral of us model building members have PMed you about buying the whole lot, myself included. People buy bulk lots to save money, I don't see anyone willing to pay 1500 in cold hard cash for the whole lot... I could be wrong, I think my offer in my PM is pretty good. Also consider your probally not gonna wanna ship 100 kits at once... that means a major road trip... I might be the only guy dumb enough to spend almost a grand on some kits, I dunno.. But whatever you do, keep us all posted, there are a bunch of us waiting to buy..

If nothing else , I'd buy all the loose parts , and let the bigger guns wheel and deal on the kits . I just don't want to see any of this stuff thrown away . I ain't rich , don't want anyone to think I am . But I'm still interested . The rest is up to you .

Yup, I'd like to have it to display couldn't get myself to build it..

Just by a resin body, and a AMT 71 duster kit to finish. WAY cheaper, and that orig demon kit has a nice body, buy the rest of the kit sucks. The box would sure look cool on the shelf though
