15x7 steelies question

Does ride height affect any rubbing? I have 15x7 on the front with 215/60/15 tires and they rub on the front on both sides. Could be that I am too low? 1967 Barracuda.

I have (4) 15 x 7 Mopar steelies on my 68 cuda. All 4 tires are 215-60x15. The date codes stamped on the wheels are early 80's. BS is 4.25". Front brakes are 73-76 A-body discs which ADD to the track width compared to SBP stuff. Mine rubs on the left front fender edge but only hear it while backing up with the wheel turned. That's the number one intereference point for 67-69 cudas. And t's very common for wheel openings to be different from side-to-side, up to 1/2" per Mopar. The Dart/Cuda openings are different so your results may vary.

When (or if) I ever get around to painting, I'm thinking of taking a narrow pie cut forward of the lip and rewelding to try to maintain the same look of the coving on the fender edge.
