My car shelter is sick

Here is what i have on my shop / pole barnola. My asssumption is the clear will not absorb as much uv so it will last longer. But it does pass thu more heat / uv. Although I have only had it on for 9 months, it lasted one winter and all summer:

Most of the economical tarp types will start leaking in 1 year and by 1.5 years they are torn somewhere. The cheap ones will die in 6 months.

We get a 2 month spell of 105+ F and some pretty wild pounding wind with +25 F in the winter but not as dramatic as the midwest gets.. All in all, I should have friggin put a tin roof on. I will eventually as I am about 1K deep in tarps in 3 years.

I just looked at that link about rubber roofing and it is by far the best durability and price per square foot that i have seen and i have been lookin at roof tarps constantly for 3 years. It may very well be what I put on mine next.
