No pictures....but I "found" a shopping cart. Took the cart part off and used the wheels/frame when I built one for my neighbor.....

Cool was the shopping cart one of those plastic ones on a metal frame?

No Sir...it was an all metal one. He ended up using the cart itself as a container for dirty polishing/wax rags. We hung it off the ceiling eye bolts/chains/"s" hooks. Every time we see one on the side of the road I mention wanting to pick it up.....the Boss always stops me....

I picked up a welder earlier this year. Not a big one, it's small. But I think welding one together with angle iron would be a good project for practice.

For a while I used a furniture dolly under my plasma cutter.....Now that I am thinking about my Tig machine is sitting on one....but it is wired into a disconnect box so it can not go all that far away...

I want to build one with wheels big enough to roll it around my yard. So I am basically looking for ideas. I googled plans for one but didn't like what I seen.

Have you looked at the Miller Site? Pretty sure they had plans for one there, might have to do some digging to find them....

Yard sale cliff find an old red wagon. Would make a great base for cart.

Great idea Josh

Cliff, a lot of great ideas here. I just had a coupon and bought a cheap HF cart ($37) I was gonna weld all the brackets on it though for practice. Good luck!

Check out garagejournal.com...........do a search in their welding & Fabrication section.......many threads, different designs created by members.

Here's what I have for mine, these were retired tool carts from work I cut off the top 2 feet and used the rest.

Yes there is, and it looks like if I look around I can build one for next to nothing.
