Okay, picked up the following for several members...

Ash trah
Tag/license light
trunk/grille/hood emblems
Instrument cluster

Other items picked up for sale:
Bumper/reverse lights assemblies...okay/good driver shape, $8 + $13 shipping
Radio bezel...very good shape, $5 + $6 shipping

Please pay promptly/ as quickly as you can as my wife and I are on a budget and need the $$ back for upcoming bills :)

Pics of backup lights and radio bezel. Lights are dirty but I'll clean them up a bit. The white/grayish stuff in the one lense wipes off so I'm sure they'll be clear when cleaned up.

Okay, cleaned up the backup lights and they'll make pretty good drivers. There is some good pitting on the outside of the bodies and a little on the chrome under the lenses but the outer chrome shines up pretty decent. Also there is some "frosty" looking stuff on the inside where the bulb sits. The lenses are also very good with one being near perfect and the other has that haze that's come mostly off...just need a fine/stiff brush to take the rest off as it scratches off with your finger nail. The seals are still pliable as well. All in all for the price, they are decent drivers and look way better in person.

Also cleaned up the radio bezel, looks a little better now and is in very good shape.

If not sold soon, going to Ebay.
Thanks

Both fenders are shot unfortunately. The driver side is banged up and wavy. The pass side has filler below the Valiant emblem and is rusted through on the bottom quarter near the door.

Items gone:

Grille
trunk/grille/hood emblems
heater control w/cables
radio
trunk mat
firewall insulation
kicker panel insulation
cardboard rear seat/trunk divider
radio bezel
bumper guards front/rear
license plate light

Last time I checked the site it showed it still was, that was last weekend.

I have the fenders off it which are really not bad as they looked but I was regretting not getting the hood ......but I don't want to drive an hour just to find out its gone .....I didn't even think to check the website

I know the pass side had a plug of bondo near the emblem area and it looked to be rusted through on the bottom rear near the door.
The drive side looked to be dented up pretty good near the center and also close to the door.

once I stripped them down, it looked like they were dented and someone just slapped some bondo on there without even trying to push or pull the dents out ...I think they can be straightened better than that.

like you said not perfect but for the price and what it is .....im happy :D:D

sure beats the fenders I had before ....none. so they fit the bill LOL

plus I wouldn't ship fenders so these were close enough

That poor Dodge Charger :( That nose tells me it was made from 1984-1987. Those cars and original parts for them are getting very rare indeed.

If you want to make some extra money, I would grab the tail lights, visors, mirrors, and IF the rubber nose is in good shape and they don't want too much for it, maybe that too. An old yard here was crushing a few classics and between work and school I was stripping a '72 Montego GT, '68 Mustang, and a '64 Bel-Air. I ran out of time and there was a 1985 (?) 2.2 that escaped. Poor thing, all I got was the nose off of it.

I looked at the grille on that Charger again and that isn't a Charger, its a Chrysler Laser! Geez the things people throw out. This Valiant and that Laser deserved better.

you should have seen the amount of miscellaneous parts that were left at the property when my buddy moved out.
A full garage floor of parts. mostly a body stuff.
He couldn't take it all.
He really wanted the valiant to not be crushed.
He thought it deserved more also.
But when your loosing everything, what does it matter after all.
Glad some of you got some parts off of the car.
There were some really good things on it.

If money wasn't an object, I would have donated that car to a local vocational school or maybe Goodwill. There it would have had a fighting chance and at a school it would serve a purpose.

I just check the U Pull and Pay website for the Colorado areas and this car is not on the list and is likely crushed now.

yes, i can verify that ....i just went up there recently and all the rows are different now and the cars mentioned in this thread are history .....sorry about that and i will keep my eyes peeled for 80s dodge chargers ....i didnt know those were any good for anything but i have seen a number of them around this area.

Yea, the Laser wasn't built long. I guess Chrysler brand folks preferred their chrome grilles and convertibles (not that there's anyhting wrong with that). I knew somebody that had a Chrysler Laser XE in HS recently (younger than me) and I didn't know he owned it until he put it on craigslist. It didn't last long either!

I'm glad this Valaint got picked clean before it got smashed. :blob:
