Well, now he's gone and done it!!!!!!!.....again too!!!
Rocky (John) found the 3 step Carter AFB metering rods I've been looking for, for some time now. Also included a great looking 489 jet that will replace the one I...err...ummm...tried to replace previously (don't ask!). My eternal gratitude and good wishes upon John!

Glad they arrived unharmed wasn't sure how to pack that one lol!
Funny thing is they were the rods that were in my 383 car. I had picked up a spare 4299s (67 383 auto) carb at a swap meet that was all together and still had the correct rods I now needed. So we both scored.
