I have done diablo tuners but it was only for one vehicle. I deal with EFIlive and HP tuners the most. I will need to get into diablo for the 6.4 or 6.1 hemi engine.

Im pretty happy to see this thing almost all blasted. Sunday im gonna help scrape some of the soft undercoating off so he can finish it and save me some $$$. Hopefully monday ill be able to shoot epoxy primer on!

Well I got the car back from the blaster and I built a makeshift paint station and shot some epoxy primer on it and rented his rotis for a month for $50... Can't beat that! Now for the body work :wack: I hate body work... But when im finished I need ideas with what to put under the car. Should I paint it the color of the car, POR it, paint it black? or.... I don't really want to shoot undercoating back on it.

I am using rust bullet (similar to por 15). But since you had the car blasted, you do not really need a rust encapsulation product. A healthy dose of quality seam sealer and paint should be just fine.

I too am avoiding using undercoating on the bottom of the floorpan, and instead using strategically placed dynamat on the interior of the floor to provide vibration dampening.

Ok that sound like a great plan. What seam sealer did you use? I see tons of brands. BTW I want to copy your firewall if you don't mind? :prayer:

You could Lizard Skin it. It's really thin yet durable. It comes in 2 flavors I think, sound or heat deadener.

sure, but you will be copying a copy! I wanted a street rod looking firewall. Until I saw some initial pictures in Ross's build (76orangewagon), I wasn't sure it would look cool on an abody....now I know it looks awesome

I always used 3M brushable solvent based sealer. Now that it is outlawed in CA, I used the 3M water-based in a caulking tube. It is expensive, but you can get it to go on so smooth by just wetting your finger. It looks so much better than the old brush on stuff. I even taped off the seams to make them as uniform as possible. probably overkill given how easy this stuff is to work with.

page 3 of my build thread shows the result. I will have to take a pic of it painted, but it almost disappears, and I could not be happier with how it turned out.

Of course, hardly anyone will ever see it hidden inside/under the fender, and if they did they probably wouldn't notice...but I like it!
keep up the good work.

I will say you represent our passion well! Thanks. Keep going forward and you will have a great car. Remember "If you don't quit, you win!"

It's been awhile but I got back to working on it, I sat the inner fenders in and ordered a complete bolt kit from us car tool to bolt the front back on so I can align everything to weld the inners back on. I also picked up some wheels for $200 that I think I'm gonna run in it. I also picked up an engine and tranny for cheap so I'm switching to a different motor and trans setup I originally had. You guys will pry not be happy lol but it'll be pushing 700rwhp which is what my daily has in it.

Its been awhile since I've touched the car but im finally back to working on it. We bought a new house and I took a new position at work and have been working a ton. I finally not the low man on the totem pole now so I can enjoy my days off. I found this 5.7 Hemi a place not too far from my town, the guys wants $300 for it, it needs an intake but I ended up getting my hands on another motor. My fellow mopar brothers arent too happy lol

I picked up a complete 6.0 iron block LS for dirt cheap then found a Supercharger off a ZL1 camaro that im gonna use for it. I have in depth knowledge of the LS drivetrain and tuning needed for this so this is the new plan. I have an 05 GTO that i built a custom front mount turbo setup on so this supercharger will be cake.
