Headed out of Vegas at 4 30 am on Saturday morning after about 2 hrs of sleep...pulled into Famoso Raceway Park 10 am...

Old 94 Dodge 2500 ran great...getting 13.5 mpg towing car and bed full of everything but the kitchen sink.....made pretty good time over Mountain Pass, Baker Grade, and of course my favorite the Tehachapi mountains....

No waiting at the gate..found a pit space...unloaded...teched the car in....and waited for the 1st time run of the day....around 11 ish...Mopars were called to the lane...checking the DA on my Tag system showed DA 2100 feet...

60' 1.406
330 4.154
1/8 6.520
mph 103.30
1000 8.588

1/4 10.354 @ 127.13

That one pass made the 5.5 hrs of driving well worth it....

2nd time run at 2:30 pm DA now at 2500 ft...

1.409
4.159
6.523
103.47
8.582

10.335 @128.22 there was a slight breeze blowing down the track....

3rd pass..I wanted to take out one of the batteries and take alternator belt off...Tonya told me to leave it alone...LOl

5 30 pm...3 rd pass DA 2200 ft..

1.408
4.163
6.535
103.21
8.601

10.359 @ 127.93

Sunday...

Suppose to be almost 90 degree...somewhat warmer then yesterday...

1st time run at Noon...DA 2500 ft

1.405
4.164
6.542
102.68
8.625

10.403 @ 126.22 No Breeze ....

2nd pass 1 40 pm....DA 2800 ft...

1st round of Elimination 3pm DA 2700 ft..

Dial 10.37

She got .040 better light and runs downs the other car...with a 10.437 @ 119.22
Looking at the times down track...car was on a 10.36 pass...

2nd round at 3.30 pm..
Dial in 10.35

Redlights by .010...should have not drank that monster energy drink....
Car spun tires 1.425 60 ft....ran a 10.400 @ 127.52

Sad thing was even with spinning the tires...the other guy left enough on the table to still take the win....but that is racing...

Loaded up the kitchen sink and headed for home...Left Bakersfield at 5 pm...arrived in Vegas at 10 pm

Will upload a few videos later today

And I would like to thank a few people for their entertainment and hospitality ....food..

Shilo...aka Whitedart from Moparts....fed Tonya and I T-bone steaks for dinner, with all the extras to go with it...

Mike Owens from Fresno ....for lunch on Sunday...and some good laughs and stories...

Jeff Shaw from Madera .....who we were pitted next too...and some good stories and conversation and for charging the batteries on the Dart during for the night....

and For the wind for mostly for not blowing the stanky smell of the compose our way.....LOL

Likes the corn at lower elevation...

Nice runs.

Well Tony I can assure you ,I know this skanky smell.Between the race gas,and the smell of the compost. I always, considered the heat and stink, part of the Famoso experience,Lol. That car runs hard. Was involved ,in a 340 72 Dart build. The driver overrevved every gear,by 500/600 rpms.(think 7600,7700). Dumb *** on board, the car bested 11 teens@121.

the wind can make.... or break your Famoso experience!! :) Dart is running just right!! Great passes!

Ever try more air psi Tony? Looks like you're really killing the tire.

Hey Tony. You have a video from Bakersfield of my friends burnt orange 64 Ply sport Fury that him and I brought there. He was racing a black challenger. Can you send me the link to it. Eddie

I dont think I have a video of a 64 sport fury.......

On post #4 on the short video that's there after it was over the video I was talking about was there. The person filmed it from the stands after he filmed the 71 Dart. But if not don't sweat it.
